FCC Looks to ‘Third Way’ to Regulate Broadband Service
Late last Wednesday, the FCC announced a new approach to regulating high-speed Internet whereby the commission will assert its regulation over broadband service similar to its authority over traditional telephony services. The FCC is calling this approach the “Third Way,” as it plans to impose a “lite version of Title II” regulation on broadband service.

4Home & ECHO Labs Announce Strategic Alliance
ECHO Labs, LLC announced today that it has entered into a software licensing agreement with 4Home, Inc. of Sunnyvale, CA. Under this licensing agreement ECHO will offer the full range of connected home services developed by 4Home on a hosted SaaS basis. Connected home services are broadband-enabled services that currently include energy management, home security and monitoring, home health, and media management.
