Energy Management

The Evolving Area of Energy Information Management

ECHO comes to the area of energy information management from the telecommunication perspective. For years telecom networks have dealt with network management in a multi-aged, multi-vendor, multi-protocol environment with the collection of data over a large geographic area. While there are many specialty firms and vendors addressing discrete segments of the “energy usage mosaic” few are taking a holistic approach to data collection with the emphasis on a data warehouse to provide intelligence to assist with decisions. By engineering the solution to collect information in a multi-protocol environment that can and will evolve as protocols are added or abandoned we insure that the data warehouse remains future proof.

The ECHO Energy Manager

The Echo Energy Manager (EEM) platform is a data warehouse built on carrier class management application that allows you to gather, analyze, and communicate energy information based on real time and interval data.

The EEM will enable you to determine which sites have the highest costs, normalize for floor area and weather, and validate energy strategies (rather than relying solely on the utility provider’s invoice and management via spreadsheet).

The deployment will implement a range of benefits across your enterprise:

  • Empower your organization to proactively manage your energy usage, benchmark facilities, and analyze cost’s for electricity, water, gas, and other utilities.
  • Enable your corporate and facility managers to deal with energy usage in a global manner.
  • Enable you to strategically manage your operations, implement changes, measure results, and evaluate how your overall energy costs can be significantly reduced.
  • Allows you to identify not only how much energy can be saved, but also how much that energy saves you in real dollars.
  • Provides access to real-time energy data any time, from any location, through a standard web browser. * No special software or computers are required.
  • Implement automated M&V reporting, on a global, district facility and ECM basis.
  • Allows you to determine the true value of on-site generation assets.
  • Provides for easy system engineering management and configuration via the Internet.
